Country Companions – Outreach
Country Companions includes our Reading to Dogs Library Program and Pet Therapy Program. Reading to Dogs provides supervised pets for children to read to in a fun, non-judgmental environment, resulting in improvement of reading skills. Our Pet Therapy Program provides pets for visitation at nursing/retirement facilities, hospitals, or schools. Please contact us if you have a pet that might be suitable for either of the above programs or if there is a facility that you would recommend for us to visit.
We will be at the Clyde W. Roddy Public Library in Dayton, Tennessee, select Wednesdays in the fall/winter for children to read to the dogs.
